Missing on Vegas

There is, as in all things, a downside to being unemployed. The downside today is that all of my pals are probably still out cold right now in hotel rooms in Las Vegas. One of our friends is getting married and this was his weekend bachelor party in the city that wants you to lie to your significant other and take out a second mortgage so you can gamble some more.

I wish I'd been able to enjoy the event with my boys but there was just no way to justify or rationalize dropping the cash right now. We're in need of pretty much all of it.

But it doesn't mean that I am happy I missed the fun. I thought about them alot last night, I hope they had a great time and will come back with some suitably entertaining war stories.

[Update: I would like it noted just how badly I wanted to start serial calling them this morning because I know they didn't get in until late, late (or early depending on your perspective). But who, in their right or wrong mind, would want to hear my voice at 8 am after a long, long night of drinking and partying? Which was kind of the point. Luckily I got distracted by coffee and a cream filled donut. Mmmmm, donuts.]
