Roanoke Slips Wal-Mart's Fatal Embrace
No Wal-Mart for Clearbrook area of Roanoke County though the reason for the pull-out isn't clear. The lawsuit brought about by the locals was thrown out of court and they'd resigned themselves to a big, ugly 24/7 soul-sucking Super Wal-Mart blighting their landscape.

I'm glad they prevailed against the retail megalith.
