Rant about Beggars in Santa Cruz: 6.13.03,
What I'm totally getting sick and tired of isn't politically correct to talk about but I really couldn't give a shit. Its the hassle of walking through our downtown area. Its the pain in the ass of having to work your way through packs of beggars, homeless people, discharged mental patients without a place to go and younger folk intent on having a shitty life on the street and spending every last nickel they beg to insert ever more metal into their faces, testicles and assholes. Oh yeah, they also spend that money they guilt people out of on tattoos and safety pins to hold their tattered crappy black leather jackets together. And stink cover because they don't bathe very often or very well.

Overthought: 12.6.02,
Once there was a man, well no, a boy, no, how about a manboy. A boy inside a man's body, one who thought in wide arcing radii of conceptual frameworks as to shoot around inside his brain. Being the Eye: 10.3.03
Today was the first real serious, heavy day of wedding stuff. It was like being immersed in a wedding bath. My family has come into town, not all of them but enough to really be great. There's a frenzy, a whirling let's-get-this-done attitude that's compelling and awesome to be a part of, not a part, the center of. To be the eye of the storm, together with P, and the storm has only begun to spin in earnest now.

Can You Recognize this Presidential Candidate?: 09.23.03
Just a few, won't take more than ten minutes to read. And no, I don't agree with all of them but I agree with the vast majority of these. This came to me in a forward from my sister.

Who's the Mystery President?
-I attacked and took over two countries. I spent the U.S. surplus and bankrupted the US Treasury.
-I shattered the record for the biggest annual deficit in history (not easy!).
-I set an economic record for the most personal bankruptcies filed in any 12 month period.
-I set an all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the stock market.
-I am the first president in decades to execute a federal prisoner.
-In my first year in office I set the all-time record for most days on vacation by any President in US history (tough to beat my dad's, but I did).

50 Reasons Against Arnold: 09.10.03
I just finished reading the Metro Santa Cruz: 50 Reasons to Not Vote for Arnold and I've got to say that my gut feeling that he was an awful choice for governor has been reinforced at least fifty times over. Follow the thread over on MetaFilter for some diverse reactions.
