The Awesome at AT&T Park

I warned my Twitter followers that nearly all of my tweets during the playing of the World Series would be about the Giants and that they were welcome to unfollow me if that was a problem. I also warned the ones I follow that if they over-tweet about anything BUT the Giants in the World Series, they risked being unfollowed.

One person I'd recently started following was on the bubble already and his three tweets in less than a minute about some other event got him dropped like a hot friggin' rock. Sorry, I'm all about the Giants right now and tough crap if you're not down with that.

All of that said. WOW! What a flippin' night of baseball! I though Doc Halladay against Tim Lincecum in the NLCS was a matchup for the ages but to see Tim Lincecum take on Cliff "Lights Out" Lee? Wow! And then to see the Giants bust his sub 1 era open like a pinata? Double Wow! And Juan Uuuuuuuuuuuribe's three run blast to break the game open? Triple WOW! And Freddy Sanchez coming alive with not one, not two, not three but four doubles in the game? Quadruple WOW!

And then, just when you didn't think it could get any better. Along comes Tony Bennett to sing God Bless America in the 7th. I don't mind saying it that hearing him sing it gave me goosebumps the first time and every time I've heard it since then. I even recorded it on my iPhone (sorry for the crappy quality, will probably reshoot it when I get a chance) and am including it below.

My wife was not overly thrilled with how loud and shouty I was. Nor did she like how quickly I dismissed the solicitor at my door (I basically saw he was trying to sell me some crap, said no and closed the door, hell, the Giants were on!). But I tried to explain to her that, THIS IS THE WORLD SERIES! This isn't just another game, this isn't an everyday event, this is the World Series and I have no need for either restraint or to be nice to jackholes who come to my door during the game and try to sell me shit I do not want.

And tonight is going to be more of the same. I'm going to go wild when the Giants score, I'm going to hoot, holler, stamp my feet and clap. If that's a problem, well, go somewhere else. I'm watching the World Fucking Series here!
