Mark Twain on Fathers

"When I was a boy of 14 my father was so ignorant that I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished by how much the old man had learned in only 7 years."

Being around my family always makes me think about my father more than I usually do (and I think about him often since I see him in my children everyday). I miss him not having gotten a chance to meet my two sons because I know how happy he would have been and how happy he would have been for me.

I don't really have a point in this post, I just like the quote and have had my dad on my mind alot lately.
