A Weekend's Debauch
Well, that was fun, tiring and not cheap at all but it was one heck of a fun and entertaining weekend. I'm sure it was, by no means, as cool as Layne's (and her Spanish go-go dancer visiting pal come girlfriend, yeah, go read her) but we did have some decent fun. Lots of alkie pops, random flashes of boobs and pubes, breakfast in a bar, sneaking downstairs in some misbegotten Christmas dream cross over story to sneak a peek at my new housemate and his ex, um, negotiating a rejoinder?
A couple of good parties, some folks getting out of control (as must happen) I guess some guy caught himself on fire for a moment or two, nothing serious though.
But the final end result is that I slept almost none all weekend and am drained and tired (and those late night IM sessions, while tremendous fun, aren't helping me catch on sleep and some of us couldn't sleep in today).
Anyway, short day here in research land, Christmas party and lunch today and then I'm done until next year. It will be a very, very nice break I think.
For reasons that I'll go into after the fact if they go but yes, there's a girl involved and I'm going to see her this week. Hope everyone's going to have a lovely Christmas.
Just don't ask me how the Christmas shopping went this year. It didn't. At all.
And no, I'm not kidding. It didn't happen for a lot of reasons and not any of which I care to jump into here.
But it will still be a nice holiday.
