Poker Night, Major Winter Storms and the General Unfairness of the Weather in Relation to my Weekends
Okay, good news first because it softens the bad news smackage.
We play poker every once in a while and we got a game on last night after much false starting and stopping and scrambling to uncoverer a fifth player. But we did end up playing and for the first time in a really long time, I ended up cleaning everyone else out. Not huge winnings but definitely enough to put a smile on my face and have to buy the yokels a beer next time we're at the bar together. Downside to last night is that I ended up being up until after 2 in the morning, again. Which means another night of not quite enough sleep followed by a day of not quite enough nice weather. We've got a serious big time winter storm about to hit today and thing's're gonna get a bit crazy, I think.
I stopped by my beach this morning as usual to check things out and the wave action right now is amazing. Huge, heavy waves beating the snot out of Ryan (no wait, that's not right, last I checked he was still chock full o' snot), nope beating the crap out of the beach (though in thinking about it, perhaps this is just as appropriate a metaphor for Ryan as the snot considering his predilection for poop posts lately, hehehe). Snapped a couple of pics and then a short video to store it for later. And the debris from last weekend's storms is still very much in possession of the beach's real estate. Thought about walking the beach last night under the full moon but got caught up in poker and that was that!
Which brings me to the final stage of the title line, the bullshit of crappy weather on pretty much every weekend lately and it looks like it'll keep a perfect record for the near future. Maybe I should go visit EB in Arizona where rain's greeted with kow tows and grins?
Breaking In News
Our sales admin just called in this morning saying she was going to be late for work and, while she was talking to our secretary, the police broke into her house in one of those COPS style raids. Shouting voices and everything. And now our secretary is totally freaked out. Life's never boring, is it?
This one will most definitely bear more observation and reportation.
Happy Thursday, Universe!
